I want to share with you an experience with a delicious limited edition cigar, which may be on the fringe for a cigar to be reviewed by us. I am talking about the Dominican masterpiece that is the La Aurora 100 Anos.
From the moment I lit it up till that last of the ash fell of the remaining nub, this smoke was pure enjoyment. You should expect nothing less at this price point. I bring this up because we all have been disappointed, or under-whelmed in the $10 to $15 range. We were all new to smoking at one point, and assumed that the more it is, the better it must be! Gladly this one lived up to the hype. The biggest drawback of this smoke is that the Robusto is only 5 inches long. It lit up easily & burned evenly till the last draw. Wrapped in a Dominican Corojo leaf, the flavors of coca & caramel become more apparent as you get about 2 inches in. Truly a top shelf cigar at a mid level price
Something for the Joe’s to talk about: This cigar was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the La Aurora factory. The leaf was aged 4 years & filled with 100% Dominican tobacco from 1996. This is a limited run cigar, so grab one while you can!

La Aurora 100 Anos a limited edition treat
Size: Robusto, 5 inches with Ring gauge of 50.
Looks: If I had 1 hour to relax this would be a nice fit.
Shelf Rating: 4.5/5 points for the Average Joe
Price: $10 – $15 a Cigar / $275 – $375 a box
Should you buy: Yes, but don’t use this for a quick smoke. This should be lit when you have the time to enjoy it. I recommend pairing it with a glass of whisky. (I had mine with a glass of Jonhhie Walker Black). You will not be disappointed.
